Monona Masonry Incorporated began with three men, a pickup truck, a wheelbarrow and a mixer. Founded in 1959, the company focused solely on residential projects. Over the years, however, Monona Masonry has expanded its horizons to include commercial, industrial, residential, governmental, etc. These projects involve a variety of building materials including: brick, block, pre-cast, stone, marble, granite, limestone, and more. Although the main office is located in Madison, Wisconsin, Monona Masonry has traveled throughout the Midwest--from Colorado to Illinois.

Monona Masonry has a work force consisting of almost fifty year-round employees. During the summer months, however, the number of employees usually doubles. Being a union contractor, most employees go through some training, from apprenticeship to yearly updates for safety, certification, etc. Monona Masonry Inc. is a certified women's business enterprise in Dane county.

The owner and staff's strong beliefs in quality and efficiency spark goals consisting of not only keeping up with the latest technology and equipment, but also practicing the concept of quality the masonry trade was founded on.
